On June 13, 2009,
from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. the
eighth annual California Amphibian & Reptile celebration will be held at the
Kern River Preserve in Weldon.
"Escape the stress of everyday life
and enjoy nature to the fullest while unraveling the many misconceptions and
superstitions of the most interesting, unusual, misunderstood, and rarely seen
animals of California. Educational displays with entertaining presentations
throughout each day.
This event is sponsored by
HERP-ECOLOGY,
Reptile Rescue, and C.A.R.E.S.,
Audubon California's Kern River Preserve, and Kern River Valley Revitalization.
Exhibits by: Friends of the Kern River
Preserve, Turtle and Tortoise Rescue and musical
entertainment.
The celebration is not a "Show and
Sell" activity".
