Flora of Audubon's Allen Sanctuary

Audubon owns and manages a conservation easement on a small landlocked sanctuary at the mouth of the South Fork Kern River Canyon. It is named after Carl Allen the original owner, who still owns some adjacent lands and has formed his own conservation organization called ARC. The sanctuary is only 495 acres in size, yet is significant with at least 210 species of flowering plants and 11 species of mosses and liverworts. Eve Laeger compiled this list.
